Anonymity respected. Always. If you ask us not to use your name, we won’t. If you ask us to strip identifying details, we will. Your story matters more than your byline.


What We’re Looking For

Documents. Denial letters, explanation of benefits, lease terms, fee schedules, collection notices, paycheck stubs. The more specific, the better. Redact your personal info if you want. We care about the mechanism, not the name on the form.

Stories. What happened. What the system told you. What you actually paid versus what you were told you’d pay. One paragraph is enough. Ten pages is fine too.

Patterns. If you work inside a system and you see something, we want to hear it. Whistleblower protections are your business, not ours, but we take source protection seriously.


What This Isn’t

This is not a legal helpline. We can’t give you legal, financial, or medical advice. We’re not lawyers, accountants, or doctors. If you’re in crisis, please contact the appropriate professional or emergency service.

This is not confidential. If you send us something, assume we might use it (anonymized). If you need confidentiality, say so upfront and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can accommodate that.


Corrections

If we got something wrong, email stories@theranter.com with the specific claim and your documentation. We fix errors in public within 48 hours.


We critique systems, not people. But we need people to show us what the systems are doing.
